This was my friend Mac Gomes first tournament. He used to play with me at the Central Chess Club. - 2/16/2008 Dennis Prawira seems to be in a good mood. Could it be that he is ranked 2700, and ready to play some chess. - 2/16/2008 Hiton hotel. - 2/16/2008
Round two has begun. - 2/16/2008 Castle Crusaders. - 2/16/2008 Rick Bauer organized New Britains participation in this tournament and was also board one for New Britain Attack. - 2/16/2008
Lots of games going on. - 2/16/2008 Sofyia and Mac battle against round 2 opponents for the New Britain Endgamers. - 2/16/2008 David Aldi was our board 1 player. He did a fantastic job against really strong competition. - 2/16/2008
Derek Meredith of the New Britain Bad Bishops faces off against Grandmaster Hikira Nakamura. - 2/16/2008 Andres Casteneda and James Nitz hold down the board 3 and 4 spots for New Britain Attack. - 2/16/2008 Yogesh did so well in this tournament he didn't even have to watch his games to outplay the competition. - 2/16/2008

Derek is stong enough not to underestimate a younger player. - 2/17/2008 There are also quite a few strong female players, although I have confidence that Doug Fiske can win easily in this position. - 2/17/2008

But Sofyia declined the mate by blocking it with her bishop and then went on to beat the #### out of the little boy with the panda sticker on his face. - 2/17/2008

Ed Scimia played in this tournament although not for an NB Club team. Still he is a member so we were all rooting for Ed and his team. - 2/17/2008 New Britans D team. Daniel Nussbaum on board 2 of the the New Britain Dragons. - 2/17/2008 Whoo hoooo go board 1. We had the kids to face in round 4 and won easily. All except for Dave who had to fight every move of his game. - 2/17/2008
